Welcome to Amelia's Canine Care, I am a professional dog sitter with nearly 4 years of professional experience in caring for and loving all furry friends! I offer a number of services including in-home care, dog walking, and amateur photography!
I am based in Oxford, NC but will travel up to 100 miles to take care of your furry friend. In the future, my location will be all of the US but for now it's NC!
This is me. My name is Amelia and I have grown up with all sorts of animals, especially dogs! I have been caring for pups for my whole life, 20 years! I want to start making dogs my full-time career, so I decided to do what I do best and give exceptional love and care for all different pups!
My background
I started professionally dog sitting in 2021! I worked with bigger dogs, such as a golden retriever named moose! I work well with all dogs and although I'm small, no dog is too big for me to handle! I have also worked at a dog camp! I was responsible for a lot of things! I typically got to stay in a yard with the pups and play with them while keeping an eye on their behavior and well-being! I did a lot of cleaning and socialization with all different breeds of dogs! My favorite part of working there was getting to see the dogs go home and run into their owners' arms, tails wagging!
I am actually going to start Van life! I have a 1999 Dodge Ram Van and have been fixing her up to drive across the US! I want to travel the world and do photography and work with dogs. My dream is to become a dog photographer!
This is my baby, Estella! She's a pit-bull/bulldog mix and the love of my life. She can be a lot to handle but I manage. I have had her since she was 12 weeks old, she is now about 11 months old. We have a very strong bond and I trust her with my life.
I also have a bearded dragon, Tad Cooper! He is about 4 years old. He likes to run around my room and get himself stuck in everything!
